Happy Thursday!

Guess what??  Claire is 4 weeks old today! On one hand I can't believe she's that old.  On the other hand - it feels like she's been a part of our family forever!  And she has grown so much - holding her on the scale with me suggests she is already over 9 pounds!  And she's so fun to play with.  She loves looking at herself in the mirror and she loves it when Mom talks to her constantly.  And when Clint calls from work we put him on speakerphone and she turns her head right to his voice. We were given some amazing books from family and friends and we have fun reading them together.  And when those books aren't handy, Clint reads to her from the spy novel he's reading.  Hopefully that doesn't inspire her to join up with the CIA, not sure if Mom could handle that.

 Don't you love the tie-dyed onsie?  One of the nurses at work makes and sells them, and another nurse bought some for Claire!

4 generations!  Great-grandma Phyllis made the trip with Gpa Bob and Gma Lisa, a fantastic day!

Okay, time for bed - need to get our rest for the upcoming weekend.  The Jackson grandparents are coming to town!!

Hola!

Hey Everybody, Claire here.  I asked Mom and Dad if I could do the blog today.  They are slow updaters, plus I am 3 weeks old today, which is plenty old enough to blog.  Furthermore, Mom and Dad are prone to writing embarrassing stuff, and who knows how long before the contents of my diaper will be mentioned if they are left in charge of this.  So see the pictures below to see what I've been up to!

And back to snoozing again.  This time with mom. 

My buddy Braden brought his mom down to Gardner to see us on Sunday.  Peyton, Amy and Miranda came too.  It was a pretty fun day!

And today I spent some time in my awesome swing that my Uncle Dan gave me.  So much fun!  Dad got to stay home today for a snow day so we had a good day. 

Okay, I'm hungry now so I have to go.  Hope you're all doing well!

Welcome to the World Baby Claire!

Welcome to the Jackson Family Blog!  Really, its just a nice way for us to share pictures without filling up everyone's e-mail inbox.  So feel free to check in often, though we can't promise we will update as often as we should. 

So, without further ado... here's Claire Amelia Jackson!

She was born on 12/30/10 at 4:58 a.m, weighing in at 6 lb 9.5 oz and measuring 19.5 inches long.  She came out absoultely perfect!  She had lots of visitors over the next few days and weeks, and you can see pictures of just a FEW of her visitors scattered below. 

And the pink begins!!  A defining moment in Clint's life:  the lint trap in the dryer came out pink for the first time in history. 

Ahh the Jayhawk lifestyle.  Thanks Grandma Lisa for helping me Rock Chalk!
